About Mrs. Fernetti

Hello!  My name is Kristin Fernetti.  I'm excited to be working with Ms. Botero for our second year of the Dual Immersion program.  We are excited to help Kindergartners learn and make global connections at North Newton!

I have been teaching for 17 years. This is my 3rd year at North Newton. I'm an Appalachian State University graduate and I earned my Master's degree at N.C. A&T State University.

I am originally from High Point, NC and spent the majority of my teaching career working in Guilford county. I am the oldest of 3 children and come from a family with many teachers. They were great models for me.

I now live in Lincolnton with my children: Max 12, Ava 7, & their step siblings: Adi 6, and Stephen 11. My husband is an art teacher for LCS.  We enjoy being outdoors with our children!  We enjoy spending time at High Rock Lake.  We love to hike the trails at South Mountain. We also are so proud and happy to watch all of our kids play sports.  We are a football, softball, swim, dance, and soccer family!

If you have any questions or concerns please make sure to write a note for me in your child's agenda or email me at :

I look forward to a great year with this cohort of super kindergartners.
