Is there a 5 year old in your home?
On May 5th North Newton Elementary will host its annual Kindergarten Registration.
Below is a a parent's checklist. This is what the parent must bring to school the day the child is enrolled.
- Birth Certificate : Parents must present a birth certificate verifying that the child is at least 5 years old on or before August 31, 2023.
- Proof of Residence : Please bring proof of your current residence to ensure correct school assignment. This may be a utility bill, lease agreement, or deed.
- Immunization Record : This certified that your child has had these shoes required by state law: Diphtheria, HIB, Tetanus, Whooping Coop (DTP), Oral Polio Vaccine, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Hepatitis B.
- Physical Exam Certification : Your Child must be examined by a doctor within the first 30 days of kindergarten. You will need to have your doctor or health department complete a health screening form.
